     A:

Q: Why is my car leaking oil?
    A:
Common causes of oil leaks include degraded engine gaskets, leaks from the oil pan, or improper or worn-out seals. An oil leak also can be caused by a loose or missing oil pan drain plug or deteriorated valve cover gaskets. Schedule your service appointment with Andy Mohr Collision Center today and let our team take a look for you!

Q: How often should I change my brake fluid?
    A:
A good rule to follow is to have your mechanic check your brakes and brake fluid during every oil change. They'll be able to give you the best feedback on how your brakes are working and if they need new fluid. Most drivers find they need to change their brake fluid every four to five years. Schedule your service appointment with the team at Andy Mohr Honda today!

Q: How often should I rotate my tires?
    A:
Your tires are some of the most important parts of your vehicle, so it’s crucial to give them proper care over the course of their life. It’s generally a good idea to get tire rotations every 6,000 to 8,000 miles. However, you should always consult your owner's manual to learn the most accurate interval for your specific vehicle.

Q: Can I get service on a non-Toyota vehicle here?
    A:
Yes, we service all makes and models here at Andy Mohr Toyota. Contact our service team today!

Q: Do you offer service and parts financing here?
    A:
Yes, we offer a service now, pay-over-time here at Andy Mohr Toyota.

Q: Why do my brakes squeak?
    A:
If the brake pad friction surface wears down enough, you'll eventually hear a squealing noise because the pads (or what's left of them) and rotor are making metal-on-metal contact. Another cause of noise may be warped rotors, meaning the pads cannot evenly make contact with the rotor surface during braking. Either way, schedule an appointment with the team at Andy Mohr Ford to get your brakes fixed today!

Q: How to read tire sizes?
   A:
There is a code along your tire's sidewall. That code marks your tire size and class. There you’ll find a 3-digit number that shows you the tire width. The diameter of your tire will be located after the construction code, which is a letter that tells you how the tire is built.

Q: How do you check transmission fluid?
   A:
If you drive automatic, it’s just as easy as checking your engine oil. Just pull out the dipstick, wipe it down, reinsert it and pull it out again. It should have a clear pink color to it, a sweet smell and come up to somewhere between the minimum and maximum fill lines. It’s important to remember that your engine must be running and warm to get a good reading, which is the opposite of checking motor oil. Checking the fluid with a manual transmission is a bit trickier. You’ll need to raise your car up with a jack, use jack stands to keep it secure and remove the fill plug (it should be sideways, so no transmission fluid will leak out). You can add new fluid until it starts to overflow, as the plug point is also the recommended filling level.

Q: What kind of battery does my car need?
   A:
Most standard cars only need a standard flooded battery, vehicles with start-stop technology will likely require an enhanced flooded battery, and vehicles equipped with both start-stop technology and regenerative braking and passive boost will need an absorbed glass mat battery.

Q: How long do car batteries last?
   A:
The manufacturer’s recommendation for the average lifespan of a car battery is three to five years; however, most service technicians stay on the safe side with the three-year mark. If you can’t remember when you replaced the battery last, there may be some corrosion—a whitish or greenish substance that looks a bit like rock salt—around the bolts, or the engine may take longer to ignite than usual; these are both telltale signs.
