What Is a Multi-Point Inspection?
A multi-point inspection is when our factory-trained and factory-certified technicians check your vehicle in several key areas to determine if it requires any upkeep or repairs outside of the regular maintenance schedule.
If we notice anything that could cause a potential issue in the future, we’ll make sure to take care of it at that time. That way, you'll know your vehicle is road ready and well cared-for.
What Is Checked During a Multi-Point Inspection?
During a multi-point inspection, our technicians may look over a variety of components, including:
Fluids
Since fluids are so important to the overall health of your vehicle, we’ll look over the engine oil, the transmission fluid, the brake fluid, and the wiper fluid. If any fluids need to be changed or topped off, we can take care of it at that time.
Belts and hoses
Over time, your car's belts and hoses may wear out from regular use. This is normal and expected. By checking these items during a regular multi-point inspection, we’ll be able to replace them as soon as they’re ready.
Tires
Your car's tires need to maintain traction with the roadway, so it’s important to check the tread depth regularly. We can look at this during your vehicle’s multi-point inspection. If the tire tread is low or if your tires show signs of dry rot, we can help you pick out a new set.
Battery
A technician may perform a battery voltage test during a multi-point inspection to get a general indication of the battery’s overall health. If the battery is low on charge, it may need to be replaced so that your car will start when you need it to.
Brakes
It’s important to regularly check the condition of your car’s brakes. A technician may inspect the brake pads for normal wear and replace them. They can also check the rotors for warping, rust, or any other damage.
Lights and wipers
You may not think about your car's lights and wipers much. However, you’ll notice when they aren’t there. Our technicians will check that the wiper blades are working correctly and replace any lights that may have had a bulb burn out.
