Understanding Your Warning Light Colors

Yellow Warning Light

• If your warning symbol is yellow, it’s not so much a warning, it’s more of an alert. The color yellow basically indicates that a part needs to be serviced once you complete your ride.

Red Warning Light

• A red warning light means there’s an issue that needs to be addressed immediately. You’ll want to pull over right away and tend to the part of your car the symbol is alerting you about.

• This symbol will be an outline of a battery
• Indicates malfunction in

High coolant temperature warning light

• This symbol will be a thermometer submerged in water
• Indicates malfunction

• Coolant temperature being too high

Malfunction warning lamp

• This symbol will be your typical check engine light
• Indicates malfunction in one of the following

• Electronic engine control system
• Electronic throttle control system

SRS warning light

• This symbol will be a person sitting with a circle in front
• Indicates malfunction in

Tire pressure warning light

• This symbol will be an exclamation point partially circled
• Indicates an issue with

• Low tire inflation pressure
